Two Day Beatles Tour London & Liverpool
DAY 1
A half day tour by car covers many sights associated with The Beatles. These include site of Indica Gallery where John met Yoko and Trident Sound Studios where ‘Hey Jude’ and some songs from the ‘White Album’ were recorded. Also visit 3 Savile Row which was the address of The Beatles’ Apple Corporation and it was on the roof of this building on 30 January 1969 The Beatles performed live together for the last time. Re-enact some of the scenes from Hard Day’s Night and visit many more locations, too numerous to mention here. Of course, we will head to the EMI studios in Abbey Road to reproduce a certain album cover.
Leaving London and en-route to Liverpool, the tour passes Twickenham Film studios, George’s Mansion at Henley on Thames.
By car it is about 4-5 hours drive from London to Liverpool. Overnight accommodation can be arranged (subject to availability) for the Hard Day’s Night hotel. Spend time in the evening relaxing in the same pubs the Beatles frequented, before and after performing at the Cavern Club.
DAY 2
In Liverpool, we will meet an expert Beatles guide visit the birthplaces and schools of the Fab Four, Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields. Visits to The Beatles Story, John & Paul’s childhood homes and the Casbah club, can be arranged although there may not be time to visit all attractions.
Drive back to London.
ALTERNATIVELY, it is quicker and cheaper if you take an unescorted train journey from London to Liverpool…
DAY 1
Half or full day London Beatles tour on foot or by car as described. The London leg of the tour will finish at London Euston Station where you will board the train to Liverpool. The journey from London to Liverpool is unescorted and takes about 2 hours 15 minutes. If you have a half day tour in London, there should be time on your arrival in Liverpool for a visit the Beatles Story museum or be met by a guide and do a quick walking tour of central Liverpool.
Overnight accommodation can be arranged (subject to availability) for the Hard Day’s Night hotel. Spend time in the evening relaxing in the same pubs the Beatles frequented, before and after performing at the Cavern Club.
DAY 2
A full day with an expert Liverpool Beatles guide to visit the birthplaces, schools and homes of the Fab Four. Also the clubs they performed at and the places that inspired the songs Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields. It is possible to visit John & Paul’s childhood homes in detail and also the Casbah club. These visits are conducted by The National Trust and the Casbah Club respectively and can be arranged through us subject to availability.
Finish the tour at Liverpool Lime Street station for the train back to London.
