London in a Day
If your time is limited and you want to see as much possible in one day, then this tour is for you.
In the Westminster area, home of the UK Government, you will see the Houses of Parliament and Downing Street. Also in this area is Westminster Abbey – the historic venue for coronations, royal weddings and state funerals.
You’ll visit Horse Guards Parade and St James’s Park. Witness the pageantry of the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, the official London residence of Queen Elizabeth II. (please note – guard change may not take place every day).
Piccadilly Circus is the centre of the entertainment district, leading to Trafalgar Square with Nelson’s Column. From here ride a double-decker bus into the City of London – the financial heart of Britain.
For 2000 years the City has survived plague, fires, and enemy bombardment. You can chart its history through its medieval castle the Tower of London, the Roman city wall, the baroque St Paul’s Cathedral, and now the modern “Gherkin” building.
All this can be achieved on foot and on public transport. If you would like to see more – for example Hyde Park, Harrods, and the museums of Kensington, this tour is also available by car with Glen as your personal driver and guide.
Alternatively … why not hire Glen as your guide, with his brother and London cabbie Kevin as your driver – so you can tour London in a traditional black taxi?
For larger groups, a coach can be arranged.
