Warwick Castle

Warwick Castle is an enjoyable visit to experience life in a medieval castle. Throughout the summer, there are demonstrations of jousting, medieval weapons and hawking.

Blenheim Palace

Blenheim Palace is home to the Duke of Marlborough. This outstanding stately home is set in 2000 acres of beautiful parkland. Birthplace of Winston Churchill.

Oxford

Oxford is home to the oldest University in the English speaking world and comprises of 38 colleges. The first colleges started in the 13th Century and many of the traditions remain. You can visit many of the colleges with some buildings dating to the 15th Century. Also see the setting for Hogwarts School, Inspector Morse and where Tolkein lived and worked.

Stratford-upon-Avon

Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare who wrote 37 plays including Macbeth, Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet. Visit Shakespeare’s birthplace and his grave at Holy Trinity Church. Stratford itself is a beautiful town with many buildings dating from 16th Century including Ann Hathaway’s cottage.

The Cotswolds

The Cotswolds is 800 square miles of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Explore delightful villages on the banks of gentle flowing rivers. Cottages and medieval churches built from locally quarried limestone. Plenty of opportunity for antique shopping!

Waddesdon Manor

Waddesdon Manor was constructed by Ferdinand De Rothschild, descendant of the Rothschild’s banking dynasty. Designed in a French, neo-renaissence style in the 19th century, this magnificent stately home also has some fine gardens.

Roald Dahl Museum

This museum, home of the writer for over 30 years explores his life and work.
